Scripps PRSSA joined the fabric of Ohio University in 1969. An exciting year for a student organization about public relations. In that year, the world witnessed the first moon landing with Apollo 11, Woodstock, the Stonewall Riots, the Charles Manson murders and the beginning of Richard Nixon’s controversial presidency.
Just over five decades later, Scripps PRSSA continues to share stories, develop leaders and connect people in many ways in a world that remains in a constant state of change. This archive serves as a record of some of our history. The names, faces and stories within this archive represent years of progress both in the world of communications and as a society.
This project was made possible thanks to the work of the following individuals:
Dr. Robert Stewart, Former Director of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism
Professor Victoria LaPoe, Professor in the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism
The 2018-2019 Scripps PRSSA Executive Board
