Sarah is the Editor (Program Manager), Camp and Backpack at REI Co-op. REI, short for Recreational Equipment, Inc., is an American retail and outdoor recreation services corporation. In her role, she assigns stories to a network of freelance writers that complement the current REI strategy.

Some of her past positions was the features writer and online producer at The Daily News from 2013-2015 and City Reporter where she covered crime, social services, and small cities from 2015-2016. She also was the Content Manager at Evanta, Gartner Company from 2016-2019. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. During her time at OU, she was involved in the Post and Society of Professional Journalists
