Why did you decide to run for eboard?: I decided to run for executive board again this year because I really enjoy helping members. I remember how scatter-brained I felt about the PR world and school in general my freshman year and I really want to help others alleviate that feeling that I had. Being on executive board gives me hope that I can be impactful on the careers of our younger members.
Career Goals?: I’m finding that I really enjoy looking at the digital side of PR. I enjoy having the behind the scenes look at what response an audience is giving to the content that is being produced by a company. From there I enjoy making a strategy on better ways to build content for our brand that will engage our audience and attract a new audience. Any job that can fulfill my need of strategy and creativity will be good with me. Who knows? Maybe I will start my own business some day. It is definitely not out of the cards.
Favorite Spot on Campus?: My favorite spot on campus would have to be the Scripps Amphitheater. I will never forget the Farewell to Scripps celebration and sitting in the grass as Dr. Stewart played guitar and sang to the audience. It was such a memorable moment and one that I will treasure long after I graduate.
Favorite Singer/Band?: I have found a new passion for the upcoming artist Iggy Azalea. I am also a big fan of Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Say Anything, Fleetwood Mac. I am pretty diverse with my music taste but those are on the top of my list.
Campus Involvement?: I have been involved with PRSSA and Impressions for the past three years. I have been employed as a building manager for Event Services and a tour guide for the past three years.
Hobbies?: I enjoy running. I am hoping to run a half marathon this fall. I try traveling as much as possible, and learning about as many things as I can.
Favorite Athens food joint?: Sol! It is the best food and I have never had a bad dish there.
How many siblings do you have?: I have one sister.
Most embarrassing moment?: I was trying out for the club tennis team my freshman year. I didn’t realize that club was the competitive sport and intramural was the fun one. I had never played tennis before and I thought it would be fun to try out for the tennis team. I went to try outs and had no idea what was going on and I hit two people with the ball and it was just bad. Needless to say, I did not make the team.
