Major/Minor/Specializations/Certificates: Public Relations major with minors in Marketing and French

Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio.

Why did you decide to run for eboard?: I decided to run for E. Board during my sophomore year. I saw the many  benefits of being on E. Board from my best friend, Marisa Dockum, and I decided that it would be great opportunity to further my involvement with PRSSA. Also, I’ve always been passionate about writing so I really wanted to lend that skill to the Chapter.

Career Goals? Immediately after graduation, I would love to move to NYC or Chicago and begin work at a PR agency. However, more and more I’ve been thinking about delving into the editing industry, and down the line I think that it would be really cool to work at a book publishing company… who knows!!

Favorite Spot on Campus? Besides Pawpurrs?? Haha… I think College Green. Oooh, and East Green because that’s where I spent my entire freshman year and I have so many fantastic memories there.

Favorite Singer/Band? Ellie Goulding and Lana Del Rey. Definitely. I would absolutely die to go to a Lana Del Rey concert.

Campus Involvement? I’ve been a tour guide at Ohio University since my freshman year, then I was involved with ImPRessions for 2 years. I’m also a PACE student and I spent the past year as the PR Specialist for Ohio University’s Innovation Center. Also, I’ve just been selected to be a Journalism School Ambassador for the 2014-2015 school year!! I’m so excited to begin.

Hobbies? I love reading. Haha I think reading is my biggest hobby of all time… kind of lame! Harry Potter is my life. I also write for a blog for college girls called Unwritten which is super fun because I can just be myself instead of trying to impress with my professional skills!

Favorite Athens food joint? Munch Box haha BY FAR!

How many siblings do you have? 5! 3 brothers, 2 sisters. We’re one big happy family!

Most Embarrassing Moment? This is hard! I won the “Most Clumsy” superlative in high school sooooo I’ve had a ton of embarrassing moments. I forgot the lyrics to a song I sang for a talent show during my senior year of high school! That was pretty bad…

Favorite thing about being a Bobcat? I love the “Bobcat Attitude.” Ohio University is the friendliest school in the nation and I’m so happy to be a part of that. We in PR always hear about the “Bobcat Network” and it’s SO TRUE! Bobcats are the absolute best. We work hard, play hard, and have life in perfect balance. I hope to carry that attitude along with me forever.
