Tis’ the season for Scripps PRSSA! With the holidays right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to start prepping wish lists for family and friends. Here’s some gift ideas that any Scripps Kid (specifically, strat comm) can ask for:
Merch
Rep your favorite on-campus organization with some freshly designed MERCH! Whether you’re an Olivia Rodrigo stan or a lover of classic designs, we’ve got pieces tailored to everyone’s taste. With every merchandise purchase, a percentage of sales go to funding our Chapter. Click here to view our merch store.
Money for Networking Trips
Say goodbye to your travel itch and venture with Scripps PRSSA to Boston and/or Columbus next semester! Consider asking for money that would go towards your flight, AirBnb accommodation and for networking dinners in between. Interested in going to Boston and/or Columbus? Contact Olivia Christiansen for Boston inquiries at oc409117@ohio.edu and Macy Cantrell for Columbus inquiries at mc819817@ohio.edu.
Linq
Shifting into hybrid formats means shifting into hybrid networking. Linq is the perfect, no-touch and environmentally conscious solution for modern networking. Linq is a digital business card where users can build a profile on the LINQ app, create a custom code and have other scans to connect with them and their social media profiles. As someone who constantly carries (and loses) printed business cards on the go, I’m excited to put Linq on my holiday wish list this year!
PRSSA Dues
Dues are the gift that keeps on giving! Ask a family member or friend to pay or help pitch in on your dues this holiday season. By paying your dues, you’ll get loads of professional resources, inside looks at job and internship opportunities and a network that will last a lifetime. Once your dues are paid, they’ll last you an entire year! Click here to renew or pay your dues.
Planner/Digital Planner
Whether you’re someone who plans day by day a week in advance or goes with the daily flow, you can never go wrong with a planner. As an organizational enthusiast, I tend to use nearly everything — from hand-held notebooks to digital planners and everything in between. If you’re on the hunt for a digital planner, my favorite digital planner (that’s free) is Notion! Notion is a site that allows you to manage projects, tasks and deadlines all in one place. For all my kinesthetic friends, some super neat planners can be found on Etsy (support small) or can be created on Personal Planner.
PRofessional Wear
You can never have too much business casual! As interview season is quickly approaching, now is a good time to gather some inspo from Pinterest and refresh your professional attire. I’m a big believer that when you look good, you feel good – so consider pieces that make for a clean look and will have you radiating confidence!
