“PRSSA X BOBCATHON” BY CHARLIE KNOX

BobcaThon is a year-long fundraiser at Ohio University that benefits the Ronald
McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. Their mission, in conjunction with RMHC, is to unite the Ohio University and Athens community in a tradition that raises funds and awareness for children with serious illnesses and their families.

It all culminates with a 12 hour Dance Marathon in February where anyone and
everyone is invited to enjoy food, games, and fun together all while standing for 12 hours to help raise money, as a community, for the Ronald McDonald House.
I have been involved in the management side of BobcaThon since my freshman year
and it has definitely had an impact on my growth throughout college. It is such a unique
opportunity and an easy way to give back to our community while still having fun and making a difference.

PRSSA has been one of the strongest supporters of BobcaThon and is always there and
a lot of the members have served both organizations on the Exec Board. There has always
been a strong connection with PRSSA and BobcaThon and it is such an easy way to help give back and help those families who desperately need our help.
