Curtis Danburg is entering his 27th season with the Cleveland Guardians. As Vice President of Communications and Community Impact, he oversees Corporate Communications, Baseball Information, Player Relations, Broadcasting, Digital Media, Photography, Historical Archives and Community Impact initiatives.  He began his career with the organization by spending three years interning for the Media Relations Department before becoming a full-time member of Media Relations in 1998. In 2005, he transitioned to lead Corporate Communications and Digital Media, departments that are still under his direction. Danburg also spent seven seasons (2005-2011) overseeing Creative Services before being promoted to a leadership role with the entire Communications Department in 2011. He was elevated to his current role as a Senior Officer in January 2020.

  • PR stands for planning right. As communications professionals, we have to be ready for everything and be flexible. You never know what is coming next.
  • Learn as quickly as possible, ask lots of questions, and be a great listener.
  • Make as many connections as possible.
  • Be willing to take whatever experience you can get!
