Why you wanted to be on the executive board: Joining PRSSA was the best decision I made freshman year. I learned so much from guest speakers, other members and my mentor. Last years executive board inspired me to take charge and get more involved with making our chapter the best it can be. I am eager to help our chapter deliver the great experiences I had to new and current members.
How PRSSA has helped you: PRSSA has helped me realize my passion for PR. I have already learned so much about PR through this organization that I couldn’t of learned in the classroom. You get real world experience and learn from real world professionals.
Why you chose to attend OU: I fell in love with OU on my fist college visit. The campus blew me away with its hills and brick roads. It had the perfect college atmosphere I was looking for. There is not one thing that I don’t love about OU…it’s perfect!
PR experience: ImPRessions account associate, PRSSA, PR Intern with Oxford Chamber of Commerce and incoming PR Assistant at Russ College of Engineering and Technology.
Advice for incoming freshmen: Be yourself. College is the perfect opportunity to break out of your shell and be yourself. Do things that make YOU happy and try as many new things as possible. The best way to meet people is to get involved!
Interesting Fact: The most interesting thing about me is that I have lived in four different countries. I was born in America, then moved to the United Kingdom, then to Russia, then to Italy and then back to America.
Hobbies: I love reading, watching movies, hanging out with my family, being on Pinterest and most importantly traveling.
Favorite OU memory: It’s impossible to pick one favorite memory out of the millions I have after just one year. I couldn’t of asked for a better freshman year!
Where you see yourself in 10 years: In 10 years I hope to have a kick-butt career at a PR/Communications agency, living internationally, married, getting ready to start a family and owning two dogs.
