It’s the end of the holiday season and as you start to feel the dread washing over about returning to school or work, start to evaluate what you did over the holidays. You probably stuffed your face with food, got annoyed by certain relatives or were so busy you didn’t even notice the days passing by. If your holiday season was any of those three, some “me time” is in order and losing yourself in Netflix queues is perfectly acceptable. If you’re not sure about what to watch, here are three shows PR junkies will love:
The Popular – Scandal. Everyone’s talking about Scandal. The plot, according to imdb.com, is about a White House Communications Director who leaves her position to start her own crisis communications firm, only to realize she hasn’t left the past behind. Kerry Washington plays the infamous Olivia Pope, who’s known as a professional “fixer.” Scandal is in its third season and you can watch it at its normal airtime on ABC or at abc.com and Netflix.
The Classic – Mad Men. If you work in the communications field and haven’t heard of Mad Men, where have you been the past few years? The show follows the ins and outs of a prestigious advertising agency in the 1960s while focusing on the infamous Donald Draper, one of the firm’s top executives. The show on AMC is on season 7 and if you haven’t watched it, I suggest going on Netflix right now and checking the show out for yourself. It is truly addicting.
The New Kid on the Block – The Crazy Ones. Similar to Mad Men but decades later, the show follows a copywriter at an ad agency in Chicago run by Simon, who is played by Robin Williams, and his daughter. The show on CBS is in its first season and if you are a huge Robin Williams fan or a Sarah Michelle Gellar fan from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, this is the show for you.
Hopefully one of those shows will catch your eye and if you’re still unsure, check out the trailers below:
